Tier mapping that lands high
Legacy seats have to be mapped to Foundation, Advanced or Prime at renewal. Renewal proposals can place whole estates on a higher tier than most teams need.

ServiceNow does not publish list prices. Every deal is quoted individually, and each product has its own metric. IT Service Management is priced per fulfiller, the people who work and resolve tickets, while requesters are typically free. HR Service Delivery, Customer Service Management and IT Operations Management each use their own metrics.
Large customers buy under an ordering agreement, often as a multi-product commitment. Three-year terms are typical, renewals are automatic unless notice is given, and support is included in the subscription, with optional success packages on top.
Since April 2026, AI is part of every tier. Now Assist and related AI capabilities are bundled in, and usage is metered in assists drawn from a pool held at the tenant level.
ServiceNow’s fiscal year matches the calendar year. Its sales organization works to quarterly and annual targets, and October to December is when ServiceNow closes its year.
ServiceNow retires Standard, Pro, Pro Plus, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus, replacing them with Foundation, Advanced and Prime. Now Assist, Moveworks, Workflow Data Fabric and AI Control Tower are bundled into every tier.
AI usage is measured in assists drawn from a shared tenant pool. ServiceNow has not published the assist cost of each action or the pool size included with each tier.
New orders are written only on the new tiers. Existing contracts keep their legacy SKUs until renewal, when they move to Foundation, Advanced or Prime.
A ServiceNow renewal written on the new tiers can change several parts of the price at once.
Each of these shows up in the renewal quote. Knowing which one is moving the number is the starting point.

Now Assist is now part of the tier, not an add-on. A business that never bought AI still pays for the capability inside the tier price.
Assists come from one pool per tenant, and development and sub-production instances draw on it too. Usage beyond the pool is billed on top.
Roles get assigned over a term, and the count at renewal is often higher than the count the business actually needs.
It is a company mandate that all contracts above 50k have to go through Deal IQ, even if just to check whether it is worth going after savings.
PRICED IN, NOT FREE
ServiceNow’s new tiers include Now Assist in every package. That capability is part of the tier price whether or not the business uses it, and usage beyond the included pool is billed on top. As with any ServiceNow best and final offer, the first quote on the new tiers is where the price conversation starts, not where it ends.
A renewal that starts inside the notice window runs on ServiceNow’s timeline.
Decide which teams need Foundation, Advanced or Prime before the proposal arrives.
Compare the licensed count with the people actually working tickets.
Ask what the tier includes and how sub-production usage is counted.
The fiscal year ends December 31. October to December is when ServiceNow closes its year.
