Where SAP is steering customers
Most ECC customers are being steered toward SAP Cloud ERP Private, formerly RISE with SAP Premium, a multi-year subscription priced on Full Use Equivalents, a weighted blend of user types, plus infrastructure. SAP revised the package and its volume tiers in 2025 and moved items such as AI Units and premium Joule capabilities out of the standard bundle.
On premises, Enterprise Support runs at 22% of net license value and Standard Support at 19%, with annual indexation typically capped at 5%.
What it means for the deal
A migration is one of the largest commercial decisions an SAP customer makes: the subscription, the conversion of existing licenses, support during the transition and the AI terms all come together. The deadline gives SAP a timeline. It does not fix the price.
