Discounts of up to 50% for eligible workloads that can run off-peak. Google has not given a date.
Why agent workloads change the math
A single request to an AI agent can trigger a chain of model calls and tool use that no seat count predicts. That is why Google, like other vendors, is moving toward consumption. It also means AI spend becomes harder to forecast.
In Workspace, Google already bundled Gemini into Business and Enterprise plans in 2025 and raised prices to match, with Business Standard moving from $12 to $14 per user per month for new customers.
What it means for buyers
Committed spend is billed whether or not it is used, and the right mix of seats, consumption and commitment depends on how the business will actually use Gemini. It is a commercial decision worth making deliberately, alongside the wider Google agreement.
