How Workday prices a deal
Workday does not publish list prices. Human Capital Management is priced per employee per month against a contracted worker population, Financials per user or on a blended basis, and Adaptive Planning per planning user. Three-year terms are standard, renewals are automatic unless notice is given, and support is included in the subscription.
What drives the renewal
- Escalators
Annual increases that compound
Escalators apply to the whole subscription each year, and the escalated figure becomes the baseline for the next renewal.
- Workers
Contracted populations
The worker count in the contract can include more than current employees, and it rarely falls on its own.
- Bundles
Modules added for a discount
Modules added to reach a better price can be hard to drop later.
- AI
Flex Credits
Agent usage adds a consumption line alongside the subscription.
