How OCI is sold

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is available pay-as-you-go, with no commitment, or through Universal Credits, where the customer commits to a level of spend in exchange for lower rates. Universal Credits can be used across OCI services, from compute and storage to database and AI services.

Unused committed credits generally do not carry over at the end of the term unless the contract says otherwise. That makes the size of the commitment the most important number in the deal.

Support Rewards

Oracle's Support Rewards program credits a share of OCI consumption against the customer's on-premises Oracle support bill. For an organization already moving workloads to OCI, it can lower support costs. It is a reason to count cloud spend carefully, not a reason to commit to more of it.
